County Board of Supervisors
Present are Supervisors Mardi Allen, Pam
Jordan, Paul Johnson, Wayne Northey, and David Gottsche, Chairperson.
IT and County Treasurer present to discuss
the purchase of a scanner and software from Tyler Technologies for the Treasurer’s
office. Following a review of the quote,
it was moved by Allen, seconded by Northey to approve the purchase of AudioTel
Licensed Software and the Canon CR-180 scanner in the amount of $11,390 from
Tyler Technologies. All voted aye.
The Board discussed the job descriptions
for county employee and will continue to review with a target adoption date of
April 1, 2009.
County Engineer present. Moved by Allen, seconded by Johnson to
approve changing 327th and 330th Avenues from 140th
Street southerly and westerly to the Town of Superior, from a Level B Service
to a Level A Service Road. The road lies
between and within section s #35 and #36 of Superior Township. All voted aye.
Moved by Northey, seconded by Jordan that
Dickinson County comply with the 1970 Uniform Assistance and Land Acquisition
Policies Act in regard to all right of way purchases associated to Federal
projects. All voted aye.
Lori Ruf and Ron Ludwig, Upper Des Moines
Opportunity, present with annual report and funding request for FY2010 to be
the same as the current contribution.
Jack Hardie, Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club,
present. Following discussion, it was
moved by Northey, seconded by Allen to adopt the following resolution: Be it resolved that the Board of Supervisors
of Dickinson County shall recite The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag to
commence all Board of Supervisors meetings.
All voted aye.
The board had a budget planning session
with Secondary Road in the afternoon.
There being no further business presented
before the Board, it was moved by Jordan, seconded by Johnson to adjourn. All voted aye.
