March 21, 2007
The Dickinson
County Board of Supervisors conducted a workshop on March 21, 2007 at 1:30 P.M.
in the basement of the church property owned by
Rich
Parr, McHan Construction, Clark Reekers, Reeker’s cleaning Service, Beth Will,
& Roger Gilbert along with the Supervisors reviewed all of the alternatives
for resurfacing the booking room floor.
Beth talked to Greg Baloun prior to the workshop and represented his
opinion. It was agreed that McHan would
research a colored stain, paint, and/or sealant and report back to the
Sheriff. No extra protectant should be
applied for at least a year or the McHan warranty will be void. Parr also stated that the warranty will start
as soon as the floor is finished. Sheriff
Baloun arrived late and agreed to the conclusion. The group then discussed the
crack in the booking room floor. It was
agreed that the solution is to leave it as is.
A lengthy
discussion about the McHan request for retainage followed. It concluded with Roger’s explanation of why
it should be paid. The workshop finished
up with a personnel policy discussion. The responsibility to provide a revised
version was given Sheriff Baloun.
