Dickinson County Board of Supervisors

Present are Supervisors Wayne Northey, Mardi Allen, David Gottsche, Paul Johnson (present telephonically) and Pam Jordan.

John Brown and Spirit Lake City officials present to discuss the County agreeing to purchase the Ferguson Manufacturing Company property adjacent to county buildings for the purchase price of $350,000 and that the county establish an Urban Renewal Area upon the property where Ferguson’s new building would be built. John Brown presented the proposal to those present. Time was given to those present who had questions and/or comments for the board. Following discussion, it was moved by Jordan, seconded by Johnson to accept the proposal to purchase Ferguson Manufacturing property adjacent to the courthouse at a price of $350,000 and to proceed to establish an urban renewal area in the Fairgrounds Subdivision, where the new Ferguson building will be built. Roll call vote: Northey-aye, Allen-nay, Gottsche-nay, Jordan-aye, Johnson-aye. Motion carried.

There being no further items presented to the board for discussion, the Chairperson called the meeting adjourned.
