Dickinson County Board of Supervisors

September 20, 2005

 

 

      Present are Supervisors Chairperson David Gottsche, Mardi Allen, Paul Johnson, Pam Jordan and Wayne Northey. 

 

      Owner’s Representative present with weekly report on the courthouse construction activities.  Completion of Phase 1 is scheduled to be February 21, 2006, according to the latest meeting with the contractor and sub-contractors.  Moved by Allen, seconded by Northey to approve Change Order #18 in the amount of $9375.00 for 1) add 3/8” plywood at roof edge between the eave of the hip roof and lower roof below--$1008.00 and 2) PR25 modifications to fascia of hip roof--$8367.00 All voted aye.

 

      Country View Acres residents present to request the establishment of a TIF district to improve their road.  They were asked to get more information concerning the potential valuation increase, undeveloped areas, approval from adjoining city, etc. and return to the board for more discussions.

 

      County Engineer present.  Moved by Jordan, seconded by Northey to approve the plan/project MP-04-05 that is a miscellaneous patching project for the fall of 2005.  All voted aye.

 

      Moved by Northey, seconded by Allen to concur with the recommendation to approve a Qwest utility line from the NW corner of the intersection of 140th Street and 160th Avenue, northerly on the west side of 160th Avenue to the James Wiese residence.  Said line is located in Section 25 of Silver Lake Township.  All voted aye.

 

      Moved by Northey, seconded by Jordan to concur with the recommendation to allow the DCTA to use 2670 cubic yards of borrow material from the Dickinson County Fairgrounds, at a cost of 50 cents per cubic yard.  Said dirt work has been discussed with Fair Board members and is under agreement with the Secondary Road Department.  All voted aye.

 

      Moved by Johnson, seconded by Northey to adjourn.  All present voted aye.
