Dickinson County Board of Supervisors

August 30, 2005

Present are Supervisors Chairperson David Gottsche, Mardi Allen, Paul Johnson, Pam Jordan and Wayne Northey.

Barbara Tagami, Naturalist, present with and update on the Nature Center Project near Kenue Park.

County Engineer present with regular reports on secondary road construction and maintenance projects.

Arnolds Park City Administrator, Mayor and Mike Koppert, Councilmember present to meet with the Board.  The City is requesting that the County participate with the City of Arnolds Park to purchase two properties to reconstruct the intersection of Linden Drive and Highway 71 and also one property at the intersection of Iowa Street and Broadway.  The properties are for sale and the City feels that the increased traffic from the development of the former Nielsen property that has been approved by the Board will create traffic problems for the city that the county should help with funding improvements to the servicing roads.  No action was taken on this request at this time.
